On September 24, the Sustainability Council hosted Eyes of the Wild in the GCAD Flex rooms. The idea was for the three 25-minute presentations “to be a kickoff for the Sustainability Council this year,” Alex Noviello ’23 said. These lucky students got the unique chance to see an arctic fox, a cane toad, and an albino wallaby. Emily Piggee ’24 recalled that it was “really cool” to learn how the toad could “swallow food through its eyes,” and how the wallaby could “jump really high [and] carry its babies in its pouch.” She also mentioned that the animals in the shelter were named by the children that visited and she enjoyed hearing about each animal’s journey to Eyes of The Wild. Overall, Noviello said, “The event was a success.”
