Engaging in community service is a great way to get involved in the local community and explore one’s interest, which is why the Sustainability Council’s Community Service Subcommittee held a weekly LCAP this fall term. For this LCAP, students partnered with the Watershed Institute and Slackwood Elementary to teach environmental science to third graders. Educators from the Watershed institute instructed Lawrenceville students involved in the LCAP on environmental education techniques involving hands-on experiences and outdoor adventures. Through this program, Lawrenceville students hope to inspire a love for nature and an understanding of our local environment and ecosystem.
